Every Movie I Saw in 2023

Every Movie I Saw in 2023

Another year, another list. Likely the last list ever! GASP.

Well, sorta the last list. Long story short, I have a Letterboxd account now (@stevenspoints) and I tend to organize my thoughts about movies there now, and as a result, keeping a sporadically updated Google Doc that I transfer to a Squarespace website once a year has basically outlived its usefulness. I’ll probably have some sort of list over on Letterboxd for 2024. For those handful of you who have dutifully checked out my yearly thoughts every January(ish), thank you very much for your readership, and feel free to follow me on Letterboxd if you for some reason enjoy this inanity.

As for 2023, there were most definitely movies! Many of them even good movies! I’m ending this current form of the list on a new high of 97 films, up precisely 1 from last year’s previous personal best. I’m a tad disappointed I couldn’t stretch it to an even 100, but we can make that a resolution for 2024.

And without (much) further ado, the list. To put it in good/bad terms, I’d probably say I liked everything above Napoleon, and was generally negative on everything below Napoleon. Please feel free to send comments/complaints/vitriol to me through any social media system of your choosing.
